Phonak CROS EON R is a rechargeable hearing solution designed for people with unaidable hearing loss in one ear, including single-sided deafness.
When you can hear from only one side, conversations and sounds coming from your non-hearing side can be difficult to detect. CROS EON R addresses this by capturing sound from the non-hearing side and wirelessly transmitting it to a compatible Audéo EON R hearing aid worn on the better-hearing side.
Instead of constantly repositioning yourself to put your better ear toward the conversation, CROS helps give you access to sounds occurring on both sides.
How does a CROS hearing aid work?
A CROS system uses two devices that work together.
On the non-hearing side:
The CROS EON R device uses its microphones to pick up sounds and voices occurring around that ear.
On the better-hearing side:
A compatible Phonak Audéo EON R receives that sound and delivers it to your better-hearing ear.
The goal is not to restore hearing in the unaidable ear. Instead, CROS helps overcome the difficulty created when important sounds occur on your non-hearing side by routing those sounds to the ear that can hear them.
Stay engaged in conversations
Single-sided hearing loss can make group conversations especially challenging. You may miss someone speaking from your non-hearing side or find yourself constantly turning your head and repositioning yourself to follow along.
CROS EON R helps provide access to speech and sounds from the non-hearing side, allowing you to stay more engaged with the people and activity around you.
CROS Balance puts you in control
Phonak CROS EON R includes CROS Balance, allowing the loudness balance between the two sides of your CROS system to be adjusted.
This helps create a listening experience tailored to your individual hearing needs and preferences.
Up to 20 hours of rechargeable power
CROS EON R is fully rechargeable and provides up to 20 hours of battery life on a full charge.*

Stay connected to your devices
When paired with a compatible Phonak Audéo EON R hearing aid, your CROS system gives you access to Phonak's Made for All connectivity.
Stream phone calls, music, TV, video meetings, and other audio from virtually any compatible Bluetooth device.
The EON system also supports Auracast™ broadcast audio, allowing compatible hearing aids to receive audio broadcasts in supported public and shared spaces such as theaters, gyms, and museums.
EasyGuard for simpler maintenance
Phonak EasyGuard™ domes help simplify routine hearing aid maintenance.
Their sealed design helps prevent earwax from entering the hearing aid receiving while allowing sound to pass through, helping you spend less tiem worrying about maintenance.
